Ernest D. Black, M.Sc, P.Eng
Consultant
Pacific Bay Minerals, Ltd.

Mr. Black has directed PacBay's staking of key claims in the Mont-Laurier district of southwestern Québec, where widespread uranium mineralization is associated with metamorphic rocks and pegmatites in the Precambrian Grenville Province. This Mont-Laurier land acquisition was initiated by then-president Guilford Brett, whose lifetime of experience in area plays enabled the company to move very quickly to acquire this key ground. Following on the success at Mont-Laurier, Ernie originated and directed PacBay's staking of uranium claims in the Otish Mountains in central Québec, within the Proterozoic Otish Basin, where uranium mineralization is associated with sedimentary unconformities and structures in a geologic setting similar to the Athabasca Basin.

As founder, president and manager of MPH Consulting Ltd. of Toronto, from 1967 to 1981, Ernie was substantially involved in uranium exploration and consulting in Québec's Otish Mountains and Johan Betz areas; Ontario's Bancroft, Blind River and Sault Saint Marie districts; Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin; and British Columbia's Purcell/Windermere and Bowser basins. More recently, as sole proprietor of MPH Consulting Inc., of Denver, Ernie explored for uranium in the USA in Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Nevada Colorado and Wyoming.

Ernie was a director of Pacific Bay Minerals, Ltd. from 2001 - 2008. He received his Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and his Master's Degree in Geology from McGill University in Montreal, Québec.
